You've got be freakin' kidding me. I'd be hard-pressed to vote for any ticket with Ron Paul on it.

The odd thing is, Erickson thinks it's the Palinista's who have had the 'meltdown'. Still waiting for his apology to Virginia Senate candidate Jamie Radtke. Also beginning to think that they have something against women over there at RedState.

Blogger is obviously biased :-) but I believe his facts re: Perry are straight.

Perry IS the establishment. Look at his record. We're being played if we allow ourselves to believe the "establishment hates him" or that he's somehow "the teaparty candidate".

I don't buy into the idea that the Bush people have 'beef' with the Perry people. Bush was one of the people that Perry mentioned had been nudging him into getting into the race. Also, Karl Rove let it slip on a FoxNews show last week that he RAN CAMPAIGNS for Rick Perry!

All 3 of these men and their respective 'groups' have one thing on their minds: ABP. Anybody but Palin.

This is not a new video, FYI.
The newest one, Iowa Passion, was released this past Friday. http://www.sarahpac.com/posts/thank-you-iowa

I'm almost 100% positive Palin will run and I can't wait!

I saw her interview w/ CNN. The quote in the last paragraph above is a bit off. She doesn't say 'she can't imagine her husband telling her what to do really'.

I watched the clip again & pulled the quote, she said: "I can't imagine my husband ever telling me what to do politically"

Clip is here: http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2011/08/12/p...

He actually didn't back down. From the Real Clear Politics article I was reading this morning: "Roughly 60 state lawmakers called on Perry to rescind the order." He flat out refused.

Even after the law was overturned, he thanked the legislators who stood with him and said
"They will never have to think twice about whether they did the right thing. No lost lives will occupy the confines of their conscience, sacrificed on the altar of political expediency."

Frankly, that doesn't sound at all like a man who listens to his constituents.

Kevin,
Gardasil is a fairly new to the market drug approved in 2006. It's a vaccine to protect females against the STD, HPV, although it can be given to males. It's a three shot vaccine, recommended pre-adolescence/pre-sexual activity.

In 2007, Perry MANDATED that Gardasil be given to 11 & 12 year old girls. To do this, he bypassed the Texas state legislature and signed it into law by executive order.

Oh, did I mention that the drug was made by Merck and Perry had staff members directly involved with them? (His former chief of staff was a lobbyist for Merck..)

The Texas house & senate overturned his ruling just a few months later in 2007.

This issue is a MAJOR problem for me in regards with a Perry presidential run.
