Ooooh interesting topic! YAAASSSS!!! *high 5s* So true so true, I actually hardly ever rate below 3 stars, although recently I have been getting a few 3 star reads. :/ But if the book is okay, I will give it 2 stars, although none of the 2 star books I've read I've known the author for. And there also aren't that many books that I rate below 3 because I'm a bit of an optimist and always find something good to say, or things that I've liked about the book. But you are so right Jeann! I agree with this discussion 100%, there's the good and the bad of ratings, and I have been on goodreads a long time too and yes.... the star rating always gets to me and the fact that they're not thinking of doing half stars now or anytime soon in the future. Thanks for sharing!

Aha! I saved this review for once I finished Heir of Fire (which was yesterday) and I COMPLETELY AGREE!! Now, I started not liking Chaol when he and Celaena were having their little romance in Crown of Midnight, and now this book just makes me NOT LIKE CHAOL VERY MUCH AT ALL!!!! Although I seem to be in the minority. That is okay, because I love Dorian and I COMPLETELY LOVE DORIAN SO MUCH IN THIS ONE AND THAT ENDING OMG I CRIED SO MUCH FOR DORIAN THE PAIN MY POOR BABY!!!! I think my review will have a lot of caps locks.
I felt kinda disconnected for a bit because I had so much going on and no TIME to read, but then I had a massive time and I sat and read HEAPS and it put me back into swing and then I finished it within two hours. (regardless if I stayed up til midnight or not)

oh I love flowery prose! I think it's because I'm always reading poetry and stuff for literature and I have one of those weird making-connections-to-everything-abstract-minds. *phew*
I have this on my TBR list but alas at the moment how dreadfully slow I am reading due to year 12! (:P to school)

I don't mind him blond, some of the fanart or adjusted images with him with blond hair looks good. :) As long as they get the right blond and then make it look realistic rather than cheap, all one colour pretty much yellow type blond. :D

Sometimes you just need a break. I love art and creativity stuff and sometimes I just need to sit and watch TV or go for long walks or listen to inspiring music and consume art MYSELF rather than creating it. Your brain's a muscle it needs to relax sometimes, don't feel ashamed!! ^_^ Also sometimes when things get hectic, it's nice just to be able to go home and relax a bit, or just cook or go for walks or do a puzzle. :) I hope you find some inspiration in Europe! It really is very pretty there! xoxo
