Is it wrong that I quite like the idea of all those handy i-devices taking care of the food details? For example I never turn the oven on until I'm actually ready to put stuff in it and if I shop without a list we end up with wine, nice cheese and no essentials like toilet paper and bread. I'd quite happily sell my soul to i-corporation if it meant I didn't have to think about that stuff :)

What I hate is that because these two particular women in politics are utter dickheads it reflects badly on ALL women. But Mark Latham being a (former) man in politics does not reflect badly on ALL men. It seems terribly unfair I think :(

I would have given him a lecture on the price of mince then sent him home with the left overs barbecue boys!

I have boys and I fear you have just described my Christmas of 5 years time, especially the bit about "rasselling". There's already a fair bit of that going on to be honest. Glad that the cops weren't called and that stroppy "One" went off for a nap. You should remind him he's not too big for a clip under the ear I reckon ;)

He sounds very similar to my 10 year old! Full of unexpected ideas and some surprisingly sophisticated creativity! I think it's wonderful that you bought him the domain name! I bet he ends up doing something AMAZING with it! Rach xx

I'm with you Sal this is PC gone overboard. The guy is impersonating a particular person in a particular context. He is not trying to make fun of or vilify black people - so I really think calling it racism is giving it meaning that was never intended.

This is my first time here too Sohpie but my heart goes out to you and your precious boy. For me personally the fear is always worse than fact. Even if the news ends up being as bad as I feared, once I know it for a fact I can a least start to work out my next move. Not knowing holds me in a state of paralysis and no matter how much I try to escape it never goes away.

So I would want to know. But what ever you decide I wish you the best, best possible outcome. Rach x

Bahahahaaa! Mt. Washmore! I love it! There is one that lives in my laundry and I make sure to give it a good kick every time I walk past.

My sanity saver is "freezer cooking" - cooking big batches of spag bol, casserole, curries etc. and freezing them in large ziplock freezer bags. I do dinner and bath with my 3 boys on my own 5 nights out of 7 (my partner is a chef and works nights) and having something yummy in the freezer that can be quickly reheated for tea has saved us from disaster on MANY occasions!
