Exercise! The release of endorphins - our bodies natural 'high' - really helps lower stress levels. Even more so with the iPod volume up loud with music that directs my thoughts towards God, leading to prayer, praise and worship, entering His presence :)
Choosing to be an extrovert on Sunday mornings resonates as being a strategy to persue. I think that also holds up in the cell group situation. I chat and share easily with 2 or 3 others - more people than this I just tend to listen and reflect. I learn quite a bit that way, but perhaps I have something to share that should be 'out there' in the group situations. Thanks for the post :)
Thanks Ron - great post. Interesting...I am 41, still consider myself in the 'younger basket' and just feel I'm starting to learn a little about life - yet yes, others do seem to be looking to me for 'wisdom'. Scary thought! I particularly appreciated 'be an encourager in the organisation' - yes, always room and need for more encouragers!
One of my consistant prayers is "Father, may my life bring glory to Your name" When I don't know what else to pray, that tends to be it.
