I always use my birthday as an opportunity to come up with 'behaviour' based goals, and my biggest one for the year of 25 was to step out of my comfort zone, say yes to more shit I didn't feel like doing (which has surprised me!) and expand my social circle. It's a great goal to have. I've since travelled to two different countries with new friends and just embraced life more!

I definitely need to spend more time in the weight room. I've managed to incorporate a consistent yoga practice into my routine over the past few months, but weight training also needs to happen! Hopefully now that I'm injured (broken ankle, in a cast), I'll spend more time focusing on strength training. Also...lugging yourself around on crutches every day is basically like cardio + tricep dips...right?!

I definitely see winter running kit in particular as an investment. My buffs are an absolute saviour-they're so multifunctional that you can just chuck a few in your kitbag and you know you've probably got all bases covered.

I love this! I think taking time to myself is really important- I often do that by getting outside for a walk round the block, or even just walking as much as possible instead of hopping on a bus. It's a good way to clear my head as well as keep active :)

Oh I hear you on The Time Traveller's Wife. Couldn't finish it! I've become quite picky with my books, which means I usually do end up finishing them. I'm currently reading one called The Yellow Birds- it's all about the US-Arab wars and it's so heartbreaking!

Oh rainy lazy days are the best! We get a lot of them in the UK so we're well accustomed!

Oh lordy that run looks absolutely heavenly...if not a bit cold! I don't think I'd be brave enough to head out in that kind of weather, mainly because I don't have any shoes that would be waterproof!
