Oooh...I hope I don't run into anything like this with my audiobooks. I just started getting into them, starting with Kathryn Stockett's The Help, which was fantastic. It was so wonderfully narrated, but I can imagine how a poor narrator could really make things go downhill. I just started The Siege by Helen Dunmore, I hope it goes equally as well.

P.S. - Jen...why does you blog keep popping a blurb at the top of all your posts trying to convince me that I am new? I have been following you for several months.

OMGosh...read Hemingway, but don't start with the Old Man and the Sea. I started with it and it nearly put me off him. Start with The Sun Also Rises or something of that nature!!
