I am sorry to hear that and hope he is ok. May be it is best that he doesn't realise and just keeps positive. Huge hugs.

That is a good idea taking a picture. Yes I too have them stuck around the kitchen - and we have a big dinosaur box for the maths/English etc. The rest go in boxes in the loft.

Now that is an impressive frugal week. Luckily Mr Oddy is very good with DIY, and even though water leaked everywhere and went through the ceiling, he plumbed in our new radiator - so only ended up costing us the replacement few laminate floorboards, a bulb, and washing of the towels/electric for the dehumidifier - much cheaper than getting a plumber out.

I am glad it works for you but it is not for us. I couldn't afford £10 a week per child for a start and they don't have treats weekly either. I haven't had a problem with them learning to budget either - but this first year at Uni will show how well that goes lol. I am glad that your daughter has a good financial head on her shoulders.

That is a really good idea because we shop online and I never remember to use the vouchers. Sounds like a great meal plan.

Sounds a great place to visit. I still haven't visited a castle and all these places to explore is just the kind of thing my boys would enjoy.

Just helping others - like I am sure this post has done.
Yesterday teaching a little boy that HE knew his 5 times tables (he had done his 10s and I showed him how he was half way there). It was so rewarding as I could see just how proud of himself he was.

This is great advice and really gives people chance to really consider what getting a dog involves.
