No one in HS, but I was in the same graduating class from a small Christian liberal arts college as Sufjan Stevens. I vaguely remember him from my geology class and am sure he wouldn't know me at all. But one of my closest college friends was in a small-group Bible study with him, can you imagine??

I know, it's so absurdly sad. They go up because people immediately rush out to buy guns, just in case gun sales are about to become more restrictive. (Hint: THEY DON'T.)

In addition to contacting your representatives to urge stronger gun regulation, here's another small thing you can do to combat the feeling of helplessness we all have: Contact your 401k manager and urge them to divest in gun companies: http://unloadyour401k.com/.

It makes me ill to think my 401k probably profited (a little) from the Orlando shooting, because gun stocks always go up right after a mass shooting, and my 401k is with a big management company that includes gun companies in its investment profiles.
