Congrats to Chris, David, and you -- for having survived so long! ;-)

I had a rock tumbler when I was a kid and I *loved* it. Pro tip: do not put the tumbler near an air duct that connects to your bedroom unless you want to hear its rumbling sound alllll the time. My mother was a pretty good sport about it, because there was no other good place to put the tumbler. Do tumblers still require a month to do the job?

Sometimes we have so many dishes that I load the dishwasher *and* have a bunch of dishes left over, so I am doing dishes for what seems like a loooooong time. But that's mostly when we have guests.

Okay, I really don't want anything for Mother's Day. Really. I don't remember ever wanting anything at all, not even a phone call. My birthday is still a gift-giving occasion, though!

Yeah, but I was too excited to read the title of that point. ::sigh::

You forgot the bonding! Teaching gardening to a child bonds you like nobody's business. Plus I never thought one of my kids would actually get into growing food the way you do, even though you were the most apt of my gardening kids.

I'm so happy that you like Plant Secrets! I'm sure my classmate and friend Emily Goodman is happy that you like her book, too. :-D

That mother-daughter book club sounds like a first-grade assignment of yours way back when. You and I read the same book, journaled about it separately, read each other's entries, then discussed the entries and the book. It was very cool and I always meant to do it again with you but of course never did. So glad you and Cecilia have done it!

Hey, you aren't getting me to take both twins to Mass! No way! I'll take one twin. I'll take one twin and Peter. I'll even take one twin, Peter, and Cecilia. But I won't take both twins!
