I agree. Failure might just make you. More often than not, failure is something that pushes me to move forward. To figure out why that particular thing didn't work and to get back up on the horse and try again. Failure also keeps me humble and reminds me that I am not God's gift to the world, His Son was. Always healthy to get one of those reminders from time to time.

I love the concept of commending the commendable. I think that this is something that I need to put into my leadership tool belt ASAP. Usually in most cases you can almost always find something that is good in another person or situation to be able to speak highly of it. Thanks for the reminder!

Funny. I read the post about 3 times trying to figure out if you were serious or not. Delegation is a funny thing though. I want to lean into it, but I do struggle with most of those thoughts. Ugh, so frustrating. Anyhow, thanks for underscoring this in our leadership Ron.

You don't need leadership to inflate your personal ego.

Thanks Ron. What a great reminder.

Kenny,
Thanks for sharing what questions you ask each week. It makes a lot of sense to me to be asking specific questions that evaluate the last week as well as push you forward towards your goals for the next week. I really liked the idea of figuring out what you learned last week. How cool would it be to look back through your journal and see what you learned over the course of the last year, etc. I love it.

This is something that I could see myself applying in my journalling practices. It definitely would help.

I wonder if anyone else has any great questions like this that they would add to the list?

I see God in my children. It is amazing to watch as they grow up and change. Their minds are processing so many things and learning and taking in the world around them. It is so clear that God has made each of them intricately and it is an awesome privilege to be apart of their lives.
I'd love to hear where other people are seeing God!

I listened to "the Dip". I really liked it. I felt encouraged to push on through the hard times and focus on the thing that is coming. Even if that thing is just a little ways off. Thanks for sharing your insights.

I have been reading this book as well, I couldn't agree with you more. I have felt a whole new sense of appreciation and wonder at what our president has to do each and every day. I have been thoroughly impressed.

Those are some really cool ideas. I wonder if the modernization of the world around us and the "ease" of global missions now has caused us to neglect those who are right in front of our faces? It would be pretty cool. I'd like it.
