The fun of a race photo... i've tried the "jumping thing" but you are right, you are unsure of when they will snap that photo and unless they take 10 in a row, likely you will be in an awkward photo.

Oh man... I'm familiar with many of these and as much as we like to say that we are masters if the running game, that's just when something like THIS will remind us, we are not.

It is all about adjusting... you have to do what you can and listen to your body. I know you would like to hit the higher miles, but is breaking up the run into 2 parts possible? Perhaps an 8 in the morning and 6 in the evening? It is not as great as a straight run, but it will teach you how to run on tired legs which WILL help during the marathon. You have to do what WILL work while you train. Try and keep your head up, but most importantly, keep it safe.

I like seeing all the fun photos of kids getting ready for school... but i hate the traffic it causes in the mornings... it's so much easier to get to work in the summer time.

I've never really taken a look at my nutrition and i know it's a critical step missing from my pursuit of trying to become a better runner... well, one of many things i need to work on.

Congrats on the speed work... funny how those 10-15 seconds can make all the difference. What you may want to do (that works for me) is have your first mile be a warm up... maybe 8:30-9 minute pace... then hold 7:30 for 3-4, then do a cool down mile for that last one. It's much easier to kind of roll into and out of a quicker pace. Trust in your training and hope you SMASHED that interview today.
