Hi,
I am primarily using ithoughtsHD for mind mapping on the ipad, mostly as a quick tool to capture meeting & presentations also as a recorder for interviews/discussions between group and a speaker. If I need to email the meeting notes as an outline or image then iThoughtsHD is near perfect and unobtrusive. I have finished mindmaps that I started on the ipad in MindManager later if I need to add images and other data. I've also tried going back and forth with the same mindmap between Mind Manager and IThoughtsHD but images aren't passed to the iPad.and thus far no MindMap apps handle images other than Popplet.
So I've recently began using Popplet for mind mapping. It allows me to use stock images I already have on the iPad, plus I can sketch/draw and type text into bozes. I am awaiting the opportunitiy to share these Popplets with the web based Popplets, so that I can include links and youtube videos.
The most promising app or use of mind mapping or graphic recording using the brushes app http://bit.ly/9gn4sa, plus the fact that it records and plays back how the imformation was recorded.
The iPad is such a great content device, so it is a bit disappointing that the majority of mind mapping apps created for the iPad don't make use of these images, videos, drawings, and web links more effectively. By years end the best mind mapping app for the ipad may not be a mind mapping app it maybe a sketch/art app like brushes or something like popplet, or will build on the crowdmap approach of creating a map with friends or strangers.
