The advantage of putting serious computing into spacecraft means they need less computing.
Each image can be compressed. The more computing power, the better the compression.

Isaac Asimov posited the concept of a Robot Psychologist.
Perhaps the future Dr Susan Calvin will have to work on that.

A small spacetug running Electric propulsion could Fetch these aging birds and lower the Apogee .

If the Apogee drops decently, you can probably let the atmosphere do the rest.

well NRO has declassified the KH-7 imagery, and with a declass of the KH-9 spacecraft, i imagine much of the
KH-9 film will be declassed.
