There is nothing like flowers to lift the spirits of patients as a part of you stays on in the room after they have gone. Intensive care really is restrictive where even contact with visitors is sometimes banned and they are sometimes required to wash and be masked up as well. Great post.

Probably being a lot older than you I do remember slapstick comedy being one of the mainstays of Saturday morning cinema for kids a thousand years ago. I hated it then and it certainly has no place now in my movie selection. Christina Hendricks has a beautiful face and her character has somehow kept afloat in "Mad Men" for some years; she must have a life raft. Time I think to sacrifice the both of them.

If you are ever guilty of cheating it is best to feel remorse and fess up or else your whole life will be wasted by temptation. Our current rampant consumerism and ads encouraging buying through weakness and greed do not help.

That is a punishing schedule with too little "me" time. Luckily you are not old yet but you have recognized the need to do something. Trite I know but 'today is the first day of the rest of your life'...use it wisely.

There is always something to see by the sea. Busy or tranquil it continues to fascinate us. Somewhere there is a old snap of me on the beach just like the one you posted.

Curiously this was a lesson I learned a many years ago, that to calm and get the confidence and trust of a mother, be kind to her children. I suppose it is a primal instinct to look for safety in adversity particularly when your children are involved.

I often think that we look for our heroes in the wrong place. Those false heroes thrown in our face in sporting, political and entertainment fields are never truly revealed. They are but a facade that is all about hard sell. True heroes are modest achievers who do not boast but are thankful they have been given the gift to help others in their lives. There are many of them just turn aside from the glitz, the glamor and the hype and you will see them working away helping the world not themselves.

The sadness on Jenelle's face is palpable. She is brave enough to do something about bullying and is a heroine. Let's hope hope her example rubs off on on other victims. Excellent post.
