It's wonderful that you get along, I think it makes such a difference. My parents, whilst they aren't friends they are civil to each other.
I am so sorry to hear about your loss. My auntie has terminal cancer, she has been fighting it for nearly a year now, and it's such a horrible disease

What a hero! Well done William! I have only had to ring 999 once and I definitely wasn't calm! You have obviously taught him well and it must be a great comfort to you that you know that he not only knows what to do but can also not panic too.

What a lovely post to read, I am glad that you had a great time at BML and you have so many wonderful friends. Carla sounds like an absolute star!
I often feel a bit at sea with blogging I don't have a niche or a tribe or anything and it's nice to read of someone whose met so many wonderful people through their blogging =)

It really does disturb me that most people seem to walk around with their judgey-pants on. My jar dropped when I read that you should be saying 'thank you' - scary that people think like that.
