I am a young mom and learned this bit of wisdom with my first baby. I flicked her cheeck, she cried, and she never bit me again. I also spank my kids when they disobey. Pain is a good teacher. Two years ago I suffered a pinched nerve and God used the pain to reveal some sin issues in my life. I am thankful for pain and any parent who overly protects their children from pain is potentially setting them up for living in a false reality.
