Thanks for the link for cheddar cheese powder. Not an ingredient I've used before. Your stars are very cute.

What a perfect use for honey. Thanks for the tip. Love it! Cherries should be coming into season in my market soon. Will have to give this a try, if I can salvage enough cherries for a pie.

Love all your modifications to make this dish healthier. I'm using very sharp cheddar often these days as it has so much flavor you can get away with using less.

These look and sound fabulous, Sarah. Love the idea of using sweet potatoes in a bar cookie.

I can't sing or carry a tune and am not good at remembering the words to songs, but I loved Barbra Streisand movies and Funny Girl was one of my all-time favorites. I have not see the Lorax. Guess I really do need to start getting Netflix so I can get some of these classics. Your recipe sounds great. Like the almond meal with the pears.

Reading your description of early holiday memories reminded me of what we did in my house as a kid. For Christmas morning my mom would heat up a frozen Sara Lee coffee cake with frosting and pecans on top. This is no longer a tradition in my house, but thiinking back on it brings back such fond memories of my family on Christmas day. Thanks for the reflection.

I've got some lowfat cottage cheese and apples in my refrigerator right now. Your recipe sounds like a great way to use them up.

Hi, Molly. Reading your recipe and blog posting brought back a lot of old memories for me. I used to eat cheese pimiento sandwiches a a young girl. They were a favorite. I'm anxious to try your healthier version.
