My favorite movie featuring a wedding planner is "Father of the Bride," with the effervescent, Hanck, who steals the show.

I am a strong believer in Karma, so I believe the best revenge is to live well. Let the person know through actions, not words that they are merely a part of your past. There is nothing better than being able to walk tall, keep smiling and show the person their actions did not break you. Wishing someone ill does not bring joy or empower your life...and it drives people crazy when you move on, without them.

I'm married to an Army Veteran, so military heroes are, by far, my favorite. Not only do they give our Country their service and sacrifice, but their loyalty and energy. Great men and women with big hearts!

I "discovered" Heather Long's "Always a Marine" series and Bella Juarez's "Black Ops Brotherhood" series. Both feature active duty troops and/or Veterans and are accurate and sensitive portrayals. Great series!

But, the debut author that completely blew me away was Julie Richman, with the first two books of her "Needing Moore" series - "Searching for Moore" and "Moore to Lose." The series reunites college sweethearts after 24 years, via Facebook and was so terrific. Here were my reactions: Post 1 (http://nursewannabeinfl.com/2013/06/11/book-review-searching-for-moore-by-julie-a-richman/), Post 2 (http://nursewannabeinfl.com/2013/07/23/etiology-of-a-book-trailer-searching-for-moore-by-julie-a-richman/) and Post 3 (http://nursewannabeinfl.com/2013/10/16/book-review-and-trailer-moore-to-lose-by-julie-a-richman/).

Since I am not a book review blogger, to devote three posts to one author was unexpected, yet the story deserved it.

Happy New Year!!

I like the "opposites attract" trope, especially with a strong, independent, intelligent female lead character that may be a little nerdy.

I hope many, many authors read this post, as it is an honest representation of the publishing "process." May you continue to bless us readers with your words and receive blessings, in return. Happy New Year!

I find food, especially sweets, and looking at Christmas lights, irresistible over the holidays.

Breakfast on Christmas Day is typically a potluck brunch with Hubby's family - so egg casseroles, fruit salad, roasted veggies (whatever is in season), scones, Mimosas, Bloody Marys and coffee. Yum!!
