I was always hopeful the light would go on for Tannehill. It just never did. His play in'16 was about as close to that happening as it ever was, but w/o an excellent supporting cast, tannehill was just average at best. Like Tim from Fins Mob says, he could never elevate a team. It was true, he needed everything to go right, but sometimes you need your QB to step up and make big plays to win for you, he just wasn't capable if the team wasn't playing well.

Kenny - Are you going to be 14kvFins now? :)

Aren't you guys looking forward to watching the Dolphins use more than a 10 yard radius of the field in the passing game? Fitzpatrick LOVES to sling the rock, and he will be throwing the ball all over the field. It will be refreshing to see that rather than the 25 screens and 5-10 yard passes. Sure, he may get intercepted 20 times, but at least it will be fun to watch. :)

Nice write Patrick! You could look at the Bridgewater non-signing two ways. I think if Bridgewater could put health concerns aside, he'd be in MIA with a chance start right now. Good QB's can still play good football and increase their value substantially. On the other hand, an injury could derail his career completely, so he chose the safer path.

It's so refreshing that we're sticking to an edict, really following through in every way. I was tired of all the half-assed rebuilds which were never really rebuilds but different regimes just bringing in truckloads of "their guys" without a care to the salary cap or the future of the team. Spend too much in FA and make a splash but fizzle out anyway. Now we really tore it down, and I think we'll continue to do that until we strip it as far as we can and still fill the roster.

Fales is a FA - Right now we have Luke Falk and Jake Rudock, and of course Ryan Tannehill, at least for the moment.

Teddy B wants the safe and sound option. BP - Could be former Dolphins management poison, or could be that Teddy B would rather collect the easy $7.5M. Easy money down in the big easy. Could be worse

TX - nothing on TB, I kinda felt that if he left MIA w/o a contract, that was it. We probably gave him our number, and he probably felt as a starter he deserved more, even if it was more than NO was paying him. Honestly, if he doesn't want to be a starter and would prefer to hold a clipboard, I'm not sure his heart is in it anymore. What QB wouldn't prefer to start over being a backup?

TX - Thanks bud! So far they have been very restrained and have followed through with what they said they wanted to do. Now they need to absolutely nail the draft, and then do the same thing next year and we should be close to where we want to be.
