Oh so next time you borrow a car, make sure that huge blue bowl next to the cornflakes goes on your daughter's lap. I was car sick as a kid and it was vile, even on buses I would heave, poor thing, great car!

What a brilliant collection of images that sum up the personality of your dog so well; especially the one with the head protector (they always look like they've taken a running jump into a rather large lampshade don't they?) - I'm quite keen to get a dog soon, and these definitely made me go 'Awww'

For me I regularly have a weekend or so when my daughter stays with her dad but it doesn't seem a break, more of a weekend off. I have had time away, once on a yoga retreat and it was great as I built up strength and calm while relaxing and it stood me in good stead for a long time. Well done on the walk; if it 's any consolation, me and my daughter usually have a quick squabble when we've been apart - then we're fine! x

We tried the mini ones with chocolate chips. I can't eat wheat so it takes an age to get through cereals in our house.
