Wow! The food looks delicious and so colorful! I have two kids that would especially love the french fried potatoes on a stick! Looks like a lot of coconut is used....are things more sweet than spicy?

Mahabaleshwar is a mouthful of a word!! I love fresh juice and think a juice tasting is such a great idea! Food can be such an interesting part of a journey. Adding Mahabaleshwar to my list of places I want to visit!

It never occurred to me either...that girls need to see what real looks like. Beautifully written.

What lovely memories. I love this perspective as I send mine off to school today for their first day of this school year. One is in middle school for the first time and the other in 4th grade. I love seeing the adorable first day photos from everyone, but mine are always hurried and the kids always grumble about taking them. I much prefer the photos of day to day when I catch them being kids - laughing, smiling, and even eye rolling. :) Sometimes, though, the memories in your mind are so much sweeter than the actual photo. :)

So beautifully written. Some lessons in life are so hard to learn and this is a tough one. She handled it with such grace. Kudos to her (and you for teaching her). I bet the time she has now that she isn't an officer will allow something beautiful to come into her life!
