I deeply love Discworld, and when you announced that you would read ALL OF IT, I was incredibly happy. And then you started, and made me even happier. These posts and videos have given me so much happiness over their course; YOU have given me so much happiness with them - thank you, from the bottom of my heart.

Mark Reads Discworld has its own folder in my mp3s; you've accompanied me on many a journey, you've read me to sleep, and (!) you are my wife and I's choice whenever we travel by car together, because our taste in music doesn't really overlap. I thought you should know. :D

As for questions - looking back on the whole series, what are your faves? Scenes you enjoyed, character arcs, sub-series, one-offs, one-off characters, ...?

If you have comfort or go-to books at all, is a Pratchett book among them? Like, when I need a good cry, I'll go for Reaper Man. That kind of thing.

And if I might ask one more thing: do you think Pratchett has influenced you as a writer? Have you taken anything away from his craft for yourself?

Mark, and everyone reading this from the US or connected to what's going on: I'm so deeply sorry and worried about what is going on in the US. I hope you and your loved ones are alright, as much as can be.

As someone from a country often ridiculed for our "remembrance culture" - yes, Nightshade needs to be remembered. It's not just the heroes who deserve monuments, it's the victims too. We need to remember that they died, why they died, how they died, so that we, the surviving, can work towards a world in which people don't die that way anymore.

I don't know what to say anymore. Just: remember. Let's all remember.
