I love a good quote!
I adore "It's ok to be a glowstick, sometimes we have to break before we shine."
If you're into Pinterest, I have a board with quotes (doesn't everyone?!): https://fr.pinterest.com/mrsteepot/words/

Oh yes, the Faraway Tree, I forgot about that!
I'm glad I'm not the only one who wasn't sure where was further away, I had to Google distances from UK to a few places I've been!
Loved learning a bit more about you! :)

Firstly, I'm 28 and still haven't the first idea what I want to do with my life!
Secondly, and more importantly, realising your dream isn't always the important bit. Being happy, that's the important bit. There are people, lots of people, who spent many years dreaming of something, make it happen, and aren't happy. Either it's not what they expected, or they realise it's actually not what they really wanted, or for whatever other reason. Equally there are people who never realised their dream, who are happy with their life, because they found other important and meaningful stuff.
It's good to dream, it's great to live your dream, but it's better to be happy.

I know it is hard to break away from the shame, but you have absolutely no reason to feel shame. None. Please try not to get caught up in that "I should have shouted/kicked/stopped it somehow" loop of self blame. It is not your fault.
You are so brave to speak out and I'm sure that your voice will help others. Please look into help and support for yourself too though. xxx

I'm just starting to come off my SSRIs & mood stabilisers too. It's a nerve-wracking time, I'm nervous about withdrawals, I'm worried that I will become very ill again, but I feel so much better after finding a great therapist and putting in a lot of self-work in.
I'm not ashamed to be on medication, or to have mental illness, but I don't feel the medication is helping me any more and I don't want to be taking it if that's the case.

Great word. Mine this year is "joy" and I'm hoping it helps me focus on the positives in my life.
