I tend to spend what I need to spend on food, I don't like to scrimp on food and we do buy a lot of fresh fruit and veg, but we also keep costs down by using all our food (not throwing stuff away) and cooking from scratch a lot.

I had no idea that you could get an NUS card without actually attending a college or Uni! I remember my card back in the day - I always used to use it for discounts at the clothes shops!!

They will all change and develop into different people as they grow and even if they may seem distant, you can't argue with the fact that you are family. Hopefully you may see them grow back together and find a shared interest in the future.

I'm glad your daughter has made some great friends at school - it really is transformative when they have that feeling of belonging with their peers. The cards seem like a great idea - she's very clever, that Becky!!!
