I think the queen will miss her jester, or like most children maybe out of sight will mean out of mind. Very original take on the post, I enjoyed it very much, the elegant language plays well against some of the childhood references. Nice work.

And we've never been able to fit a car in our two-car-garage. It's full of my husband's crap. Borderline hoarding, no joke. I'm just happy it's contained to the garage.

I have to say, I didn't detect any hint of an unusual accent in NY. I sometimes wonder if I suffer from that lingering Miami accent I used display, but you would have to tell me because I probably wouldn't notice the difference.
