Oh, and I guess the Wodehousing was a kind and valuable contribution? I don't really want to be "cool".

Nothing quite like seeing a commentor being snarked at by the editor, to make you feel really good about losing interest in reading The Toast articles.

What a beautifully written, intense story! Thank you for drawing me completely into the history of a place I was completely unfamiliar with.

That wasn't the point, stuffisthings. The point was that you shouldn't waste time trying to convince OTHER people that they are wrong. But, you know, congratulations on having achieved a superior state of humaness or whatever.

Wow. How is that song 20 years old? Still so relevant, still so sad. And I don't see it as him asking for pity. More like being carried down with her by a decision they made together and were trying to hide.
Are Tom Petty's songs too old to get the sad pretty girl votes? American Girl is about a suicide. And Last Dance for Mary Jane, is that about a girl, or a drug? I may need to google those lyrics...

THIS. This, JMP. So poignant, and so familiar. The distant medical staff, probably cold out of a need to protect themselves from the pain of others, but it feels so personal, when you are vulnerable and need comforting.
I look forward to a sequel with a joyful story for you and Park!

Or they can take the alternate route of making rape songs with Robin Thicke, there's always that option!
