Yea, until you realize that the public IS already funding the elections through the back door. See http://www.wicleanelections.org/opposing-argument...

Let's not elevate this to a war between the Left and Right, or the unemployed and employed, which is exactly what the Fat Cats want. They'd rather that we fight each other, than to realize that they themselves are ripping off both ideologies. But importantly, your politician is right in the middle with his hand out for campaign contributions. Only public funding of campaigns will get them voting for sensible laws that benefit their nation over their pocketbook.

So Obama has switched parties and is keeping Bush's third term going? W converted the $300B Clinton surplus to one helluva good start on the nation's total demise, and Obama's take (read; bribes) from the Fat cats is digging it deeper.

OR, he could have declined the "deal" and held the R's responsible for holding out for tax breaks for the rich. But he caved. He could have then put forth a tax break for the bottom 98%, and if that failed saddled the R's with that loss. But he caved on that too. And he could have blamed the R's for blocking the unemployment extension. But instead, he caved.

This guy does not deserve a second term.

Look, it is what it is until we take back our government from corporate America.

What is it about political corruption do we not understand? Taxes result when politicians take money from special interests that want in taxpayer pockets. Special interests want taxpayer money spent on them, and not on schools and police and other infrastructure. And they are winning because they fund the campaigns.

Nothing is going to change until we have public funding of campaigns. If politicians are going to be beholden to their funders, those funders should be the taxpayers. And at $5 per taxpayer per year it would be a bargain. Even at 100 times that. We MUST lobby our senators and representative to co-sponsor the bill at: http://www.fairelectionsnow.org/more/summary
