I have given up on spritz. I cannot, for the life of me, get them to come out. I tend to prefer simple cookies, they get eaten so fast that I get frustrated spending much effort on them ;-) Chocolate chip and sugar cut outs are enough around here. But those spitzbuben look really tempting...

Oh, that is beyond frustrating! Bleeping socks indeed! They are really awesome socks though.

We love Tomie dePaola too! And Shall I knit You a Hat? is such a sweet book. We made the opposite move (from Ontario to Texas!) and are also adjusting but looking forward to a milder winter than we are used to.

I love the photo of daddy and baby by the fire. I ordered extra candles last year too, in a great sale (we also use tea lights which are a little tougher to find.) And I'll do it again if I find another sale - it does make the first week of Advent so much easier!

Having just left the northeast for Texas (!) I'm missing a proper fall too.
I love the random ears on baby clothes too. It's too adorable.

Beautiful colorway! We are having the opposite move - from Canada to Texas! Granted, we have what I consider really mild winters here but still nothing like TX. I suggest layers and as was mentioned leggings/ legwarmers/ tights... Hit up the thirft stores and consignment shops, they'll have warmer clothes out by now and you wont go as broke. Good luck with your move!
