Thanks for sharing this, SDKW. While I don't have any personal insights or experience with OCD, this post really touched me. This was a great reminder about the importance of our vigilance as advocates for our children. It is also a great reminder to be present with them in every moment we can. Lucky kids to have a daddy like you, my friend.

What a joy it is to find our children discover such things in themselves - and how cool when they let us watch, too.

Great post - powerfully written.I have many of the same thoughts and I appreciate your perspective. New to this blogging world, I have already found myself struggling to find my balance between writing and promotion.

I, too, have had it with angst and anger. I want to float through with peace and compassion and acceptance. Reading your thoughts here will serve as another step on that path. Thanks for sharing this, sir, it was beautifully written.

Thanks for this post - it really spoke what I needed to hear at this moment. I enjoy your writing very much, I'm just sorry that it took me this long to discover it. I'll be back.

Damn it. What has become of me? I loved my '70 Mustang Fastback so much when I was in high school and now I find myself window-shopping minivans as I drive with my girls strapped into the backseat of my Jeep Cherokee, longing for the sliding side doors. Those doors would be wicked sweet, though.
