Good post Justin, I enjoyed the read ! Oh about our Bobolian grandma,one time she came to Labuan to exorcise a young woman who'd been possessed for years..She put up in our house, and one night while doing her incantations,all the photoframes on the house walls were vibrating (I was quite sure there wasn't any earth tremor then)..It was fascinating for all us kids ! Though our Mum.a second generation staunch RC whose family comprised of famous Cathecists who helped foreign Missionaries build Mission churches and schools in Penampang and Tambunan, took a dim view of all these..One statement from our grandMa that left a lasting impression on me was her statement about the supreme Diety,here I translate in English what she spoke in Dusun : "About christianity and that Tradition i practise - Its all the same actually, the supreme God or Kinorohingan, and all these things in this world...Only the words are different ."
