Relationships are between two people and *both* should treat the other with respect in order for the relationship to stay healthy and strong. It's not just a man thing & men, alone, are not responsible for the maintenance of a relationship.

To imply otherwise is to imply that women are somehow not capable of behaving maturely, rationally, taking responsibility for their own share of mutual understanding and mutual respect that keeps the relationship strong.
