I'm pretty particular about my sauvignon blancs, but really enjoyed this one! Came across it at a wine tasting last weekend and had never heard of it, but I'm all for trying new wine :) now I just need to find it somewhere!

What are your favorite SBs? I need some new ones in the rotation! My go-tos are Kim Crawford and Nobilo.

Congrats! Love the medal w/the beads! I was registered to run this one last year but ended up not being able to make the trip out to NOLA. Hopefully next year :)

Those mental miles are so tough - way to power through!!

When I saw the title of this post in my reader, I knew I would LOVE it. My boyfriend and I have been together for almost 8 years - not engaged. I have no interest in getting married, and neither does he. (His super religious mother has something to say about that, but it's not her life or decision - it's ours). We follow the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" philosophy. Things are perfect the way they are now - why change? I have watched way too many friends spend too much money (and go into debt) on lavish weddings and have listened to their regrets. "If I could go back, we'd have something much smaller & save the money" "ugh, imagine the places we could have traveled with the money we spent on ONE DAY"

In my opinion (FWIW) I think you're making a smart decision. It should be about YOU & RICK want, not about what everyone around you wants. And if it's a fabulous vacation you want? So be it! You'll cherish those memories forever because it was something you truly wanted to do. Just make sure you do what will make yourself happy, because in the end that's the most important thing!

Congrats again on the engagement! :)

The 110 actually doesn't have instantaneous pace, only overall pace. I was thinking about buying that one too, but ended up going with the 210 because I like to see my current pace - especially for speed workouts. So it's not you - it's just that that particular model didn't have that feature!

Love the new Pure Cadence! I have a pair now in hot pink, which I only use for shorter distances (3-6mi). Excited to give the 2s a shot!

I loooove NuGo! I always have tons of the Dark Chocolate Mocha on hand. This Chocolate Pretzel with Sea Salt one is new to me - must find ASAP!

Oh my gosh, I am SOOO jealous that you have a Total Wine. I used to visit 2-3 times a week when I lived in Florida, they have a fabulous selection of wine and pretty much any bottle of booze you could ever want. AND it was affordable. Apparently Texas doesn't want me to be happy so they don't have one. Bummer.

I love it because it always (IMO) feels attainable. I could go out and run a half tomorrow if i wanted. Sure, I probably won't PR, but I'll finish it without a doubt. That's why 13.1 is my favorite race distance :)

I usually chalk the day up as a wash and succumb to the couch. As long as I make the next day (Sunday) super productive, the only thing I force myself to do on Saturday is go grocery shopping. Then it's all feet up & wine time :)

That's one thing that drove me nuts when I lived in Florida - the constant freakouts when there was a storm brewing in the Caribbean. Grocery stores ran out of staples, huge lines at the gas pumps, boarding up the windows - all a week before the model had even been released. Then the storm would either fizzle out or hit the Carolinas or somewhere else. I get that we needed to be prepared, but some people took it to extremes! Wilma effed my world up (2 wks without power & cable) but I was probably the LEAST prepared for that one & still survived ;) I credit the multiple jugs of wine & board games for saving my sanity!
