I'm actually totally okay with this because I see it as a rejection of the vague Nazi-fication crisis we are faced with today. It's a helpful instruction into what a REAL Nazi parallel is, including the not-at-all-indirect rejection of democracy as a legitimate governmental style. Missing some Wagnerian symbolism but this is possibly pre-Wagnerian depending on how intergalactic travel affects timescale.

I caught like five of them at once when they were touring as part of a giant roving pack of the CCM Old Guard. Not really a lot of concerts come through Jackson, MS but the CCM scene was fire in the early 'aughts.

As a straight white male, I would contest that my copy of "Out of the Silent Planet" is more of an "obnoxious armchair theologian" thing than a "straight white male" thing. But perhaps I repeat myself.
