HELLO! So excited to find your new website. Good for you for taking the leap and starting it! Looking forward to finding old (and new) friends, reading content, and perhaps submitting some at some point. xoxo

you both add things you’ve already done to your to-do lists, just to have the pleasure of crossing them off

Hello, yes, I'd like to join the To-Do List Fan Club with you and Cate. We can sit around and write "attend fan club meeting" on beautiful stationery cards and cross it off with high-end fountain pens.

AHAHAHA our neighbors had an Irish setter named Clancy. So friendly, so adorable, and dumb as a box of rocks.

Our friend's parents had a Boston (in Boston) and we'd visit them a lot during grad school. She was very dapper, and a fabulous dancer, and also very particular about what she ate - basically a microcosm of the family meal. For dessert she had 2 Hershey's kisses. Every day. For 17 years. :-)

This is why Stephen and his wife are BFFs with me and Mr. B, and we frequently get together and laugh at terrible celebrity pairings over dinner and nice bottles of pinot.

(You know, in my dreams and all.)

Hey, I love my yellow gold diamond engagement ring with a passion, and my husband saved up for a year and ate PB&J and salad to buy it while his only income was a graduate assistantship. So I'll continue to wear it proudly, and remind everyone that life is a rich tapestry, which is good.

Oh man, Nikki! I love all your posts, but the Yo-Yo Ma/Levar Burton is my favorite - just so lovely and soothing. I've shared it with everyone I know. <3

I've just finished season 1 of Great British Bake-Off and fully expect that cake to be a technical challenge in a future episode. (To be completed in 2 hours, of course.)
