In South Florida, where we go every year, there are lots of people who do shell art because there are so many shells to be found on the beaches there. My mom has two pieces that look like bouquets but are actually made of shells.

So sorry to hear this! We have never had them here in western NY state but this past fall we suddenly had infestation one day. Our dogs both came in with several at the same time. There were even ticks sitting on the pumpkin on our front porch. I hope you don't have more problems from this tick bite!

We used to have a 45 minute commute at our last house and after doing it for 8 years, it was just too much. We not only had to drive that far to work, but about 30 min to get to any stores, banking, doctors, etc. It was rough. My parents have a house on a lake and we toyed with the idea of commuting from there in the summer, but it's an hour and a half and by the time you get back at night, it's too late to do anything outside so it was pointless,
