I just love Halloween, I'd dress up for a week if I could! It's lovely to be in a neighbourhood now where lots of kids go trick or treating. My mother thinks it is a terribly, commercial, pagan, American holiday that should be ignored in Australia but I say: why not embrace a holiday involving make believe and treats! Who cares about its origins: I wouldn't look too closely at Christmas traditions if you're worried about origins! Sorry, got a bit carried away there..

Wow, what a great philosophy, you've inspired me. I fear that I may turn into that sideline mum if I don't watch out!

It might not be everybody's cup of tea, though you might surprise yourself if you try it, but yoga and even light meditation can work wonders for calmness if you give them a try. And such techniques can help kids as well.

hahahahahaha - omg I would have dismembered him alive! I am SO impressed that you managed all that on your own, with 5 kids! You deserve to win the lottery.

Oh wow, my heart was in my mouth on your behalf! My daughter is a lot more confident and mobile now, and she thinks that running in the opposite direction of mummy is a great game, to my dismay. What a wonderful, kind group of people you met that day, thank god for community-minded people!
