I am SO glad to see a post from you. I was beginning to wonder what had happened to you. Glad to hear all is well, and that you have been busy with some fabulous projects. I think that's a real blessing that you get to plant some real veggies in your garden. I live in suburbia land, so we don't have any backyard space for such things.

I'm also glad to hear that you're doing well health wise. I like the quote on the plate photo about happiness. It's something I need to remind myself of constantly, as I'm really dealing with major health issues these days. I'm learning, slowly, to be thankful for the little things, and giving thanks to the Lord for all my blessings.

I'm looking forward to seeing the photographs from the little vacation you took with your family. It sounds like you had a lovely time.

Blessings to you! :)

Someone on my husband's side of the family has celiac disease. That would be tough for me, since I would go stir crazy, since most things are made from wheat except veggies, fruits, and meat. I'm not a very big meat eater these days, so I'd probably starve just eating veggies and fruit all the time, ugh! Well, I do hope you are feeling better soon.

I an understand about not wanting to pay doctors just for them to tell you, "I'm sorry, I don't know what's wrong with you." I'm kind of going through that stage myself, as I am constantly having some medical problems. This all started as I changed my diet to a HEALTHIER lifestyle. When I was eating mostly junk foods, processed, foods, TONS of animal fat, etc., I NEVER had any health problems. Now that I'm done with all those things and eating better, now the problems comes? I don't understand it, and it's left me feeling confused, fatigued, and depressed.

Anyway, have a great weekend!

This is an interesting question that I hadn't given much thought. Like the first commenter Jen stated, I would probably be in a state of shock. Our world, our everyday lives revolve around some type of electricity, power, and technology. If humanity was suddenly stripped of these commodities, there definitely would be major chaos and rioting. It would definitely be difficult (an understatement) to adjust to living without these things. If this ever happened, with the Lord's help, I would hope that our families could pull together as a team and make things work for the benefit of not just ourselves but for all of humanity.

It seems that Blogger is having many issues these days, as a few of my blogger friends have complained about something "going wrong" on their end with Blogger. I've had things NOT work in my dashboard for months, and Blogger won't fix them! I've been tempted to move to Word Press because of these issues, but I just don't feel like moving my blog around.

Wow! You certainly have been busy. I couldn't help but laugh when you mentioned that your puppy cried when he smelled the french fries that you were having, LOL! I wasn't aware that dogs even ate french fries. Fast food is OKAY on occasion. You just shouldn't make a habit of it. Which reminds me, I'm making "junk food" tomorrow myself. I'm making scones with WHITE flour, sugar, and heavy whipping cream. Sometimes, you just need a "little break" from the regular diet. :)

Buying ingredients without packaging is not something I have actually thought about. The concept of this new store that will be opening in Austin, Texas soon should prove to be interesting. I will agree that on certain items, since there are only two in our family, I only need a small amount. However, I can't buy a small amount, as I have to buy the entire package, ack!

The only "concern" I have about buying items without packaging is that I'd have to bring ALOT of containers with me to the supermarket. If you only have to buy a few items, this is not a problem. However, if every item you buy has to be placed into a container, oh my! That might become a bit hectic. Still, I like the concept, in theory. I guess I'm just one of those people who needs to see the concept be productive before I start "dancing and cheering." :)

Congratulations on getting your sewing machine back! I love the pattern for your new dress. I have some plans to begin on my sewing curriculum again sometime in the future. One of these days, I'd really like to be able to make my own skirts. Hopefully, one day soon.

I look forward to seeing the finished project! :)

Sounds like you had a fabulous date night with your husband. We haven't done an official date night lately, as I've been bothered with sleeping disorders. Hopefully, when I'm feeling better, we'll have a nice date night together. I certainly look forward to it.

BTW, the picture of your hair style looks real nice. :)

Thank you so much for thinking of me, Madame Joyness! Your award gave certainly gave me a smile. It was also nice to get to know you a little better from reading the seven things about you.
