Youtube has some footage from the experiments. It is a fascinating, excruciating watch. There are also two dudes who decide they don't need to comply. They are kind of a microcosm of my feelings about humanity. They may not be the majority, these right people, but they will always be there.

I will always defend that book. It's a picture of what it feels like to be alienated and depressed.

Hey, I want to go!

If only to prove to myself that Justin is a real person, not just a byline.

Stanley Weintraub's book suggests many more people participated than most people thought. For decades the event became borderline mythic. It happened. That's the point.

Dave: "I'm sorry Zach died, but I am back now."
Lane: "Zach? Never heard of him. Hep Alien has always consisted of Brian and myself. And this is Gil, he's been waiting to meet you for a long time."

Also Luke needs to yell about so many different things.

Oh, I should have known! I have read those books numerous times. I guess there was a line about "her father died of consumption." And when I think back, he did fade gently and slowly away in the proper manner. I believe poor Ruby Gillis in "Anne" gets "galloping consumption" -- meaning it was acute.

I remain surprised that neither Anne's parents nor Matthew died of consumption.

I would say the consumption as well, but that was definitely just for the ladies.

Ike was better than most of his fellows, but Iran and Guatemala are unforgivable all the same.

Yup, He was. I knew this, but my fingers decided to include him anyway. Silly me.
