Hello Kyle Svet,

You are fearless and unbiased where you shine your reporting light. I wonder what specific police were involved. Is this an example of out of control Georgia police, or were Feds making arrests. Why the high fines? How will this all play out?

Let's see if the President takes bold action to remedy these wrongs.

I know you will bird dog this story!

Hi Kyle and Svet!

Now I know what Larissa has been cooking for me since our return to St Petersburg. Your right, it's great with black bread, and can be the main dish for abed or ushen.

We just published the American Russia Observations Recommended List of 12 Russian Cooking Blogs, and I included Windows to Russia 'cause you have such a great cooking section. Stop by and let me know what you think. Thanks for the last comment.

All the best,

Rob

It's great that the new mayor is planning these steps. Number 7 about illegal parking is my favorite. If Moscow and St Petersburg reduce helter skelter parking Russia will begin to look like Western Europe.

You are up to date here. Please check my current post, You'll Never See a Parking Ticket in St Petersburg!

Hi Kyle,

As usual you got me thinking! What I believe sets the Oleg Kashin case apart is the implied intimidation towards anyone who will criticize the status quo... more intimidation of other people than a 'punishment' of this reporter. What happened to the lady in the Bronx was horrible... but wasn't planned or intended as a way to suppress truth tellers.

Thanks.

Hi Kyle,

I'm happy to hear that you to like Russian medicine. You are right that here doctors take plenty of time with each patient, are not rushed, and are thorough. I have thrived with Russian care since 2000, and this from someone who had cardiomyopathy diagnosed in 1993 in the States.

All good wishes,

That's what's great about the dacha... You feel like you have run away! I continue to be amazed at the variety and quality of the information you both provide on Windows to Russia! The money reserves chart was particularly illuminating!
