I have gone from shouting at the TV to touching Phryne and Jack's heads and physically pushing them together.

Sometimes I just cackle "Oh Phryne, I love you!" It doesn't even have to be during the show. It can be any time, day or night. This show makes me proud to be a woman like almost nothing else.

Good catch, Eagle Eye!! Technically, Pullman was the first male, but Artemis considers Pullman a celestial being, neither male or female. :) thanks for reading!

Thank you so much for sharing this. My sister was one of those college kids who worked at Disney for five years. During that time, my family went to the parks 3-4 times a year. So I keenly empathize with this piece-- "you think you are too good for Disney world. You are not." I have cried many, many times there. Thank you for your bravery in your writing. God bless you and your wife. Thank you, thank you.

Very true! Artemis was so captivated by that idea that she forgot to factcheck...I will get on her to be more careful. Good job, Eagle eye! Thanks for reading!

Dana Scully was a style icon for me...and accidentally a life-icon. I went into government service and live in DC. I realized a few years ago that I have been unconsciously trying to become her for some time. I don't have a basement office or a hunky, brooding partner (yet) so there is still work to be done....

how about the short story "Much Ado About [Censored}" from the YA sci-fi anthology 2041? The main character is named Portia, but she hasn't been allowed to read the Shakespeare because of censorship.

YES!!! I was also disturbingly fixated on this particular idea. Would that it were so...I guess it can be in our minds, eh?
