you know what, you're absolutely right. there is no point in arguing because they (you?) were almost certainly not argued into their religious beliefs in the first place. it is a lost cause.

just resign yourself to walking that minefield every time you meet someone new. of wondering whether they'll hate you if they find out you're queer, if they're one of the people who voted to try to pass those anti-abortion amendments in your state--three in the last decade--if they think a fetus is a person but a woman, well, who knows!, if they think men and women are "made for" different things, if they think the literal apocalypse is coming any day now (wishful thinking!) and therefore we don't need to worry about the future, if they're going to look at a natural disaster and say, "god did that because they were sinners".

watch someone beat themselves up because they don't feel their god and they want to so badly and not being able to makes them think they're worthless. or because they think their faith not being strong enough is why they suffered some random horrible misfortune, or because they think they must have deserved it but they don't know why, or because they have pinpointed whatever sin made them "deserve" it. or because they think there must be some reason they're alive, some plan, if only someone would tell them what it is. know that they most likely won't believe or accept any attempt at comfort or reassurance that isn't framed as coming from their religious tenets.

but whatever you do, don't try to argue with them, because religious beliefs are special and important and that would be disrespectful. or if you're going to anyway, at least couch your argument in terms of them being totally right! about the broad strokes of whatever it is they believe, and just misinterpreting god's will. they won't listen to anything else, so either lie and humor and validate at every turn, tie yourself into knots trying to fit whatever you're saying into their rigid framework, or don't engage at all. they can quote scripture to justify ruining people's lives, but don't you dare say their god isn't real and therefore they have no business using "what god wants" as the basis for laws, for violence, because that will just make people hate you and cling even harder to their beliefs and pretend that other people's screams of anguish are persecution.

Oh--she's not. The elephant officer in the bullpen scene is female. Her name's "Francine" and you can JUST hear her voice, she says "oh yeah?" or something. Also at least one person figures the tiger cop who doesn't have any lines is female, poooooossibly because she's got eyeshadow (apparently there's also a game she's in? Maybe there's some indication in that).

And there's the drill instructor, if she counts.

It's just that all the other cops who have significant lines are all apparently male and practically none of the background cops are specifically, noticeably coded female.

For my rollerblades there was this thing on the back of one of them. You had to kind of flex/straighten your foot a little and that would push it down. Like this!

IDK I guess it's probably so they can all be bipedal so they could have them use their front feet as hands and/or be more anthropomorphized, but it still looks really weird when you look at it.

Because if no then I'd say it's not really about the spoiler per se, it's about him revealing that he's the kind of shitty person who decided he wanted to "punish" you for not liking a tv show. For revealing he's That Guy, who would rather women just didn't talk or have opinions different from his own, and who throws a shitfit when he doesn't get his way. For trying to create an atmosphere where everyone (or just women? or just you??) has to tiptoe around him and never voice any kind of disagreement on any topic, no matter how trivial.

Seriously, who says that kind of impulse is limited to spoiling tv shows?
