I usually set my reading goal to 100 books too, but now that I'm in college and busy as hell, I'm setting it to 50 as well. I think reading 4-5 books a month is manageable and won't put pressure on us poor college / high school students swamped with assignments. My resolution is to also maintain my journal. I slacked off last year so I hope I can keep it together this year xD I was thinking about going to the gym as one of my goals, but I know it won't happen because I literally have no time to do that. I have school + work 8am - 5pm Monday thru Friday then the weekend will be family/studying/reading time. Le sigh. Maybe when I'm older I'll hit the gym. I wish you the best with your goals Jillian! I know you can do them :D

I think Twitter is very important because it builds friendship and connection with other bloggers. It's like the blogosphere 'hang out' I guess. Also, writing very thoughtful discussion posts is always great because I love reading other people's take on different topics.

Yay for Catching Jordan! I really love Miranda Kenneally's writing and I can't wait to read more from her. That's great how your slump is slowly drifting away. I really hate slumps (who doesn't!) but I love the feeling of the post-slump because you feel like just reading every single book.

Dang girl! 15 books! That's so awesome :D And yes you have to read Dumplin'! I really enjoyed it :D I tend to abandon my discussion ideas too so maybe this month I'll finish them and schedule discussion posts.

I really do think that Uppercase are for people who love surprises. For me, these book subscriptions aren't my thing because I don't like being surprised especially with bookish related items. I feel like I won't use some of the stuff they have in the box so that's like a downside for me. However, I think it's awesome that they include signed bookplates!

I really hope your slump goes away asap! August was an amazing month for me because while I usually have reading slumps, I actually felt like reading so I ended up reading 10 books I think. And yay for the party! I get anxiety too whenever I meet new people or if there is a big happening.

I think people should just let the ideas come to them. It's so fun to have an idea just randomly pop up in your head instead of thinking hard about it for like hours. For me, I come up with ideas before I sleep or while taking a shower. It's so weird lol.

I think I read Tiger Lily in 1 sitting, too. It was SO GOOD. There's just something about her writing style that made me kept on going. It was so mysterious/eerie! I haven't read the other books that you mentioned, but I'm very interested in reading The Wrath and the Dawn. So much hype!!! And of course, I'll be continuing the Harry Potter series soon.
