I had no idea that you have lived in Holland for that long - thought it was a recent move! Love all the windmills - I really developing a strong desire to visit the Netherlands - I think I need to start planning ahead for next year!

I love the Four Seasons! We have stayed in the old one in Toronto and I can't wait to try out the new one. We just returned from the Four Seasons Las Vegas and my 9 year old loved the TV in the bathroom mirror! :)

If there's a family out there whose kids don't engage in backseat warfare then I want to meet them. I'd like to know what their secret is! :) Love your car pics - and Lori would make a great Price is Right girl!

I don't snorkel because I'm not a good swimmer but I loved your story! And I'm very impressed that you traveled to Kauai with just a carry on bag and managed to get your snorkelling gear in!

Love Victoria - glad you enjoyed your visit! We haven't been for years but will try to make it to Vancouver this year as friends are just moving there - can't wait to take my kids on the ferry to Victoria.

Summer in New York City sounds nice! I've been to NYC three times - all in the winter. The last time we visited was the third week of March and I was hoping that the lovely spring weather that they had been enjoying would continue for our visit but winter came back with a vengeance on the day after we arrived. Next time will have to be a summer trip!

We use a travel agent when we are booking cruises because it's just so much easier for her to figure out some of the details like location of rooms etc. other than that I now plan most things myself. For a more complicated itinerary (like Asia) I think that I would be likely to find a good travel agent to sort things out for me.

We haven't been separated yet as the couple of times that we weren't able to select seats in advance the gate agents moved people around and sat us together. When booking our seats for this summer, however, we bumped up against having to pay to select seats for the first time. The flights aren't very long (about 3 hours) so what we opted to do was pay to select seats for my younger daughter and I to sit together as I know that she would be upset by having to sit by herself. My husband and older daughter will take their chances. Paying to sit together is one of those charges that really, really bugs me though!
