If it's a variant, how would it be official? I read comics all the time, and any variant covers that are put out usually have nothing to do with the story, nor do the events on the cover actually happen.

While I personally don't see the appeal of the ship, I'm gonna guess that if the pairing is even shown again in the comic, it'd likely be another tiny hint. Nothing to really write home about.

I've told myself for 2 years now the same thing: "During a hiatus, i shall read the comics!"

2 years later, and i still haven't read a single issue. Who knows, maybe old habbits die hard, and i might actually read it them this time. Granted, it'd pile on even further on the list of comics i already read (which is kinda massive).

I've also got video games and other tv shows to hold me over until it returns. And of course, the rest of the internet, as well.
