Exactly! For me its about being realistic, I very much prefer truthful characters compared to ones that NEVER do wrong. I want to connect to my protagonist, not feel like I'll never live up to them! Thanks for sharing this! :)

I like them too and appreciate the way they unite the book blogging community. And you know, everybody's blogging technique is different, that's the best thing about the blogging community, so people shouldn't judge others that differ from their own ways. Great post! :)

To Kill a Mockingbird was definitely the book that made me cry the hardest. That trial was so hard to read. Great picks! :)

The author of a book didn't use to matter. I would just pick up a book and read the back to see if I was interested. But lately I've been finding myself drawn to certain authors like John Green.

As for second chances, I usually do. I have this compulsion to finish everything I read which extends to series, so even if the debut is awful I'll still read the other novels in the series.
