The fit on my February pair turned out really great. I think it's because I've been learning so much about sock knitting! That is one great thing about a year long challenge, or any challenge that has you knitting one thing over and over--you really learn a lot. I joined Melody of Mandarine's in knitting 12 hats back in 2013 and I can safely say I have a much better understanding of hat construction now. :)
Anyway, I love the stripey-ness of these socks! And I really like the color combo. I see they are short row heels. I want to try them out! I also what to try out colorwork before my Challenge is over. (I loved Allison's January pair!)

I think I might give this a try for the remainder of my sock challenge! I've been shocking myself with all the surprises I've been willingly engaging in lately. But this is great because I already know I'll love all the yarns I have in the bags and it makes my monthly sock decision for me. No more getting caught up on, "What should I knit this month?"

Love the way your Rye Socks are looking so far. That pattern has been in my queue for a while and I hope to knit it someday too. :) Can't wait to see your socks this year!

Those owls are adorable! I'm glad you had a happy holiday! And I wish you lots of happiness in 2015. :)

Sorry to hear about the troubles with the yarn. I hate when you're feeling great about a project only to realize you made a mistake or the yarn wasn't what you thought it would be. All three of these look great. I love the way the opal yarn is patterning.
I made my brother a pair of 100% wool non-superwash socks a couple years ago for the holidays---needless to say, they ended up in the washer/dryer and eventually started getting holes in them. So now I'm working on a pair in a superwash wool. It doesn't have nylon (most that I've come across are fingering/sock weight and I wanted something in a worsted or bulky so it'd knit up quicker and be thicker and warmer.)

Fantastic! What a fun pattern. And I only do two-at-a-time if I can. This month I forgot to wind my hank into two separate balls and since the pattern I'm using has a different chart for the left and the right foot, I went with one-at-a-time. Ugh! Next month, I'm back to two-at-a-time.

There are instructions for casting on for two-at-a-time in one go but I tend to cast on and do a few rows of one sock and put it in on scrap yarn, then cast on and do the same number of rows for the second sock and finally set them up on one long circular to start two-at-a-time.

Both socks are awesome! I'm so glad you're participating in the challenge. And throughout the course of my 12 socks I think I need to try out that heel.

Starting projects is my favorite stage---which can be a problem, starting more projects than I can handle.
I'm excited to see these completed, they are all off to a good start! :)

Sometimes you just have to roll with it. Sad to see it go but I'm glad that you are pushing yourself to do something you not feeling right now. And you might pick it up again in the future. :)
