I've never noticed this myself in other books, but in designing my own book it's something I'm trying to avoid. If I use a stock image I try to make it as personal as possible. This is one of the reasons I'm learning a little about photography now so that all of my covers going forward are unique. There's been some books I've chosen solely because I liked the art.
