That was beautiful, and very hard to read. Thank you. You're amazing.

I saw him in the courtyard of Edinburgh Castle and it was pretty amazing! However, it started to rain at the end, so no encores :(

This is always amazing, but I think a better context would be those two songs:

(Love love love Dietrich, so this is my favourite MK scene!)

Agreed. I had a huge crush on Gawain when I was a teenager. Also I am French, and spelling it Gauvain is vastly superior, so there!

I've been living in Edinburgh for 12 years. I'm still amazed every single dayby how beautiful everything is. The winters are really rough though.

This is great. And the en grève story reminded me of that time when I was 8 and I organised a demonstration with my cousin to get our Christmas present earlier than midnight. We made placards and everything, it was glorious. (Yes, I'm French).

This is scarily relevant. (And interesting!)

"Most products have quick, easy, memorable taglines, because most people are idiots. However, Patek Philippe's tag line is complicated and unmemorizable:

You never actually own a Patek Philippe. You merely take care of it for the next generation.

Which is the kind of tagline a person who wants to be a wealthy, complicated, precise man who doesn't fall for tag lines would fall for. The man in the photo is not a representation of the target demo; he is the impossible aspiration of the target demo. That explains how the kid can be in a sweater vest and not trying to murder his family."

This is so familiar to me too. I live in Scotland, and in December sunset is around 2.30pm. And every winter I feel like it is the worst yet, and that I might not survive that one. It starts getting a little bit better in January, but man, it's like fighting a war every year.
