My favorite antagonist is the bad guy who softens by the end and repents. Wow, that looks so much different in writing than it does in my head, LOL! (I'm a hopeless romantic, eek!)

"When a new story starts, it always, always, ALWAYS interrupts an older story already in progress."

This is a fantastic point! Thanks!

Yes, I've tried to recycle scenes into rewrites. I end up changing the dialogue altogether, though the characters and setting are the same.

Nice post!

Well, there's a lot of information out there. Sometimes it's hard to sift through all of it. On the other hand, there's no rote way of writing--there's a LOT of variety. Bottom line: you have to do what works best for you. So, in that regard, it doesn't bother me in the least who blogs about writing. As long as their motive is to help writers, offer support, and share information.
