I completely agree with you on this!! I have one of "those" kids too along with 3 others that have other "severities" of ASD and 2 NT (yeah 6!) and I love every moment I spend with them...we are not in crisis - we are living, enjoying, and loving!!

I have a "floater" too - when he's ready, he comes to the crowd but then slowly goes back to his corner. It used to be he never went to the crowd so its all about time. He will make his steps when he is ready. As long as you continue to support him and give him the opportunities, he will join in - just on his own schedule.

Today is the end of week 2 and Princess starting middle school and yes, I am still panicking and stressing - especially since I just found out she didn't get a locker because she is a new student (Charter School) and they only had enough lockers for the returning students so now she is lugging her books for 7 classes in her book bag...oh stress and anxiety have become my best worst friends like EVER!!!

Wow! Now I need to go through my blog and check the pics I used out - I thought as long as we cited the source that we used that it was okay just like when you were writing a research paper in highschool and college - I have a long night ahead of me!! Thanks for the link to the site for the free pics..I'm going to use that from now on.
